rained out

with practices getting rained out this week, I've decided to scale things back this week and recuperate a bit. I've been feeling a little off physically the past week, which is probably a byproduct of re-starting lifting after such a long layover, and in any case I feel like it'll do me some good to take a week off and take things easy before I really need to buckle down and commit to the team next month.

So yeah, I won't be lifting this week, but I'd be down to toss a bit if the weather ever looks up...

Been awhile

I'm no good at this blog business. Been a alright, but busy week. Tweaked my hip on Wednesday and haven't been 100% since. Did play this weekend at Yale, but didn't get much playing time. Felt like I played alright when I did, though...lots of D points...no turns in four games, for whatever it's worth. Flag football championship tomorrow - we won our game yesterday, thanks to 7 INTs and efficient defense.
Not much else to report. I may go to the trainer if my hip isn't feeling better by Wednesday. I think it's probably just a bit of tendonitis.

Matt: keep on keepin' on

Nothing too eventful the past week. Went to practice late as usual (though I'm starting to be able to get to practice sooner now, bordering on getting out of work early enough to catch rides from dartmouth. woo!)...

Monday: practice
Tuesday: lifting
Wednesday: practice
Thursday: lifting, yoga
Friday: practice
Saturday: Yale Coffee Cup
Sunday: wishing Coffee Cup hadn't gotten rained out, going home, doing little aside from pre-draft stuff (yeah nopants!)

Been playing so-so the past week. I feel like my game's starting to slip a little bit, only making practice in time for scrimmaging and missing all the skills stuff.

I want to get running again to build up my stamina, hopefully this week. It'll likely turn out to be a post-lift half-hour run or so on the treadmills since I don't really care to run outside in the current conditions. Looking forward to conditioning etc starting up proper, fo' shizzle.
