Matt wishes work ended sooner.

As it is, I'm generally getting off work between 4:30-4:45, and getting to practice within 15 minutes of 5:00; it's nice to get on the field for the hour or so I get, but I really want to work on skills, review team strategy, etc. in the first hour+ of practice.

Hoping to get on to a new project by the end of next week (my current one keeps getting lengthened) which will hopefully not run into practice time.

Last week:
Wednesday: had to do lots of extra stuff for work, missed practice and club officers' meeting
Thursday: worked out, yoga
Friday: missed practice...have a fairly consistent bike option, so it shouldn't be a major problem in the future.
Saturday: work (I work on weekends too), nothing too important besides
Sunday: wrote a xcountry article for the D, work...
Monday: a bit of play during tryouts (played well while I was there. I'm loving my D currently), early departure for the Croo Formal, where I burned some extra calories getting my groove on (but not my mack, unfortunately)
Tuesday: woke up earlier (7:00) than I have for most of the term at the lodge, work, lifting
Today: practice, then I dashed as soon as it was over for some science forum dinner. Some good stuff about research opportunities, hopefully gonna follow-up with the lecturer to get some more information about MD-PhD programs...

Goals: Be more active on non-lifting days (maybe lift on weekends, also get 50 situps/pushups in daily again), start running, develop more tranquility in my O-game

Planning on lifting early tomorrow, if anyone wants to join me.

Tryouts

So after a miserable day of tryouts on Monday and having to leave early to catch a Tucker meeting, I came back strong today. No turns during the scrimmage; a number of D's, and a good number of touches. No clue whether they'll let me practice with A-team this fall, since I'll be in Argentina in the spring, but I'm feeling strong, in-shape and am no longer playing music : ( I guess the upside of that is I have more time for ultimate.
Lessons learned for today:
1. Get out of my 2 quickly, so I don't have to run to practice with my bag.
2. STRETCH better - man, were my calves cramping by the end of that scrimmage.

Rookie

Hey y'all.

So I just realized there were fuel-cell wide lifting times. Unfortunately, I have class during the first, and work during the second. So, if anyone's up for lifting right after 10As or right after 9s, let me know. I'll need some support to get out there.

I could also use some heckling about not making it out to practice as much as I should.

Also, I think I'm saving money on food expenses, which only means that I'm not excercising enough. boo.
